For International Women's Day 2020, I asked some of my friends, who are teenage girls to collaborate and share the motto for this year’s International Women’s Day 2020 - #EachForEqual
"An equal world is an enabled world."
International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.
International Women's Day (IWD) has occurred for well over a century, with the first IWD gathering in 1911 supported by over a million people. Today, IWD belongs to all groups collectively everywhere. IWD is not country, group or organisation specific.
The amazing girls who are a part of my post, did the #EachForEqual sign to embrace women and all of our differences that make us unique and amazing! Please go and follow all of my friends who were featured in this year's post!
(in the order of the photos above)
How will you help forge a gender equal world?
Raise awareness against bias. Take action for equality. -www.internationalwomensday.com
The IWD 2020 campaign theme is drawn from a notion of 'Collective Individualism.'
We are all parts of a whole. Our individual actions, conversations, behaviours and mindsets can have an impact on our larger society.
Collectively, we can make change happen and therefore collectively, we can each help to create a gender equal world.
THANK YOU FOR READING!
I hope you participated in this year's #IWD2020 motto and aim, to create a gender equal world!
